Areas of Focus
Local Food Systems
Help municipalities, counties, nonprofits, and regional organizations understand their food systems and turn broad goals into workable policies, including policy research, seafood and fisheries policy, local procurement, food access, working waterfront issues, food waste, institutional purchasing and implementation plans.
Coastal Economy Strategies
Advising on programs that build lasting economic security by managing vital capital projects and supporting small businesses that strengthen regional economies.
“My work has always been rooted in the people and communities that make our coastal towns what they are. From commercial fishing and small business to local food systems and municipal leadership, I've spent decades working alongside fishermen, food producers, community organizations, and local and state leaders.
I know firsthand the challenges of making a living on the water, running a small business, and navigating the decisions and policies that shape coastal communities. Just as importantly, I've learned that real progress comes from listening, building relationships, finding common ground, and bringing people together to get things done.
I founded Coastal Community Advisors to put that experience to work, helping communities, nonprofits, and small businesses connect the dots, find practical solutions, and turn good ideas into meaningful action. For me, it's about strengthening the communities we call home, protecting what makes them special, and creating opportunities for the next generation.”
